SCREENish Cookie Policy

Version 1.0 — effective 9 August 2026

This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies SCREENish LTD (2A Angel Kanchev Street, 3rd floor, 4000 Plovdiv, Bulgaria, UIC 205586868) uses on screenish.com, on its subdomains (including help.screenish.com), and in the SCREENish web dashboards, and how you control them. How we handle personal data more broadly is described in the Privacy Policy.

  1. WHAT COOKIES ARE

    Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Some are deleted when you close the browser ("session" cookies); others remain until they expire or you delete them ("persistent" cookies). This policy also covers similar browser technologies where we use them — tracking pixels, browser localStorage, and third-party scripts that may set their own cookies — because the rules for storing and reading information on your device are not limited to the technology called a "cookie".

  2. HOW CONSENT WORKS HERE

    For visitors in countries where we apply a prior-consent requirement, we show a consent banner before any analytics or marketing technology is loaded. We determine this from the country associated with your IP address, on our own server, using a geolocation database stored on that server — your IP address is not sent to anyone else for this purpose. When the country cannot be determined, we show the banner.

    The banner offers Accept All, Reject All and granular Cookie Settings (necessary, functional, analytics, marketing). Until you accept, no analytics or marketing requests leave your browser: the Google and Meta scripts are not merely muted — they are not loaded at all. If you reject, we additionally delete their cookies (_ga, _ga_M994F8GE9Q, _fbp, _fbc, and the legacy _gid and _gat) from your browser.

    You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the Cookie Settings link in the footer of every page. It is as easy to withdraw consent as it is to give it. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it was withdrawn. Your choice itself is stored in a cookie (see the table below).

  3. COOKIES WE SET OURSELVES

    These are first-party cookies, set by SCREENish, and none of them is used for advertising or sold to anyone. They are either strictly necessary for the Service to work or store a choice you made.

    The "functional" category in the banner. The support chat, served from our own subdomain help.screenish.com, sets its own cookies only when you open a chat window; they keep your chat session together and are necessary to deliver the chat you asked for. Beyond the chat, no functional cookies are currently in use — the category exists in the banner so that, if we ever introduce any, they will be governed by the choice you record there rather than added silently.

  4. ANALYTICS COOKIES (ONLY WITH YOUR CONSENT)

    If you consent to analytics, we load Google Analytics 4 through Google Tag Manager (Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC). It sets:

    If you reject or withdraw consent we delete these, together with the legacy _gid and _gat cookies that earlier versions of Google Analytics used. We use analytics to understand which pages are read and how the site performs.   5. MARKETING COOKIES (ONLY WITH YOUR CONSENT)

    If you consent to marketing, we load the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd). It sets:

  6. STRICTLY NECESSARY SECURITY TECHNOLOGIES

    Google reCAPTCHA protects our sign-in and registration forms against automated abuse. It is loaded on the pages that contain those forms, may set the _GRECAPTCHA cookie for its risk analysis, and receives technical information such as your IP address and browser characteristics. We treat this technology as strictly necessary for the security of those forms: account-creation and sign-in abuse is not a problem we can solve on the client side.

  7. PAYMENTS

    When you choose to make a payment in the dashboard, payment components provided by Braintree (a PayPal service) and, where offered, Revolut are loaded as necessary to process the transaction and prevent fraud, and may set their own cookies. SCREENish never sees or stores your full card number; these providers process it under their own terms.

  8. WHAT WE DO NOT DO

    We do not sell data collected through cookies. The website analytics described in this policy relate to the person using the screenish.com website or the account interface; they are not used to build advertising profiles of employees whose activity is monitored through the SCREENish service. We do not send your IP address to third-party geolocation services to decide whether to show you the consent banner. We do not load analytics or marketing scripts before you consent.

  9. HOW TO REFUSE OR DELETE COOKIES

    Use the Cookie Settings link in the footer at any time. Independently of our banner, every browser lets you block or delete cookies for any site; blocking the strictly necessary ones will prevent signing in. Instructions live in your browser's help pages. Deleting the consent cookie makes the banner appear again on your next visit.

  10. CHANGES AND CONTACT

    We update this policy when the cookies or similar technologies we use materially change. Where a change requires new consent, we will ask for that consent before the relevant technology is used. The date at the top shows when this policy was last updated.
